About The Position

SMX is seeking a recognized Intelligence Collection Manager Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the development and execution of innovative, multi-discipline collection strategies supporting high-consequence and time-sensitive defense operations. In this senior-level leadership role, you will set vision and policy, guide interagency efforts, and mentor teams to ensure successful intelligence outcomes for critical decision-makers. This position requires a DoD TS/SCI security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts. Application Deadline: March 30, 2026

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (preferred) or bachelor’s degree with equivalent significant experience in Intelligence, National Security, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in intelligence collection management, with demonstrated leadership at the strategic/enterprise level in defense, federal, or intelligence community settings
  • Recognized SME in multi-discipline intelligence collection, requirements integration, targeting, and policy development
  • Extensive experience advising executive leadership, establishing process improvements, and managing complex missions or initiatives
  • Mastery of intelligence community collection management tools and advanced analytic platforms
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
  • Valid US passport
  • Must be willing and able to deploy as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-level planning and oversight of all-source intelligence collection, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational directives
  • Shape collection management doctrine, policy, and best practices while implementing process improvements across teams and mission sets
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing authoritative guidance on collection strategies, resource allocation, and capability development
  • Integrate and synchronize multi-INT collection disciplines (HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, etc) across complex operational environments
  • Direct high-level outreach with partner agencies, stakeholders, and platforms to maximize intelligence value and operational impact
  • Mentor, train, and develop collection managers, analysts, and expert-level staff to build organizational depth and expertise
  • Oversee compliance with legal, policy, and oversight requirements for all collection activities
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings, white papers, and after-action reviews
