General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking an experienced intelligence analyst professional to join our team. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT The essential duties and tasks of the intelligence analyst include but are not limited to: Conduct intelligence analysis, threat assessments, and support law enforcement investigations to identify potential threats to public safety Utilize publicly available information and review real-time threats for officer safety, providing situational updates and assessments to leadership and tactical decision makers Mentor entry level analysts by reviewing products, sharing best practices and contributing to their professional development Collaborate with interagency, federal, state, and local partners sharing various forms of intelligence Monitor currents events, emerging threats and relevant trends with potential impacts to the operational area Collect, organize and review information from open-source and internal law enforcement databases to support ongoing assessments and operations Produce intelligence reports, products, and briefings on new and emerging tactics Provide timely operational support to law enforcement tactical teams for operations planning Utilize intelligence databases and publicly available information to produce intelligence and/or subject/target packages Develop and maintain strategic analysis capabilities Develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet changing requirements Collect data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes Perform additional duties as assigned Participate in special projects as required WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance Must work onsite and be local to the area A Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience A minimum of 3 years of research, analysis, and intelligence-oriented experience Proficient in conducting open source intelligence gathering to include web-based social media platforms Skillful with examining social media using online search tools and applications Competency in developing and implementing strategic, mission-support initiatives Highly organized with a strong attention to detail Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Proven ability to successfully engage and collaborate with federal, state, local, and tribal public safety agency executives Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment Exceptional writing and public speaking skills to include briefings of public safety executives and public officials at all levels of government Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint Additional Requirements Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed to support critical efforts and operations Must complete an Orange County Sheriff's Department (OCSD) background check, including a possible polygraph examination, before commencing employment or performing services at the fusion center GDIT IS YOUR PLACE At GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do. ● Growth: AI-powered career tool that identifies career steps and learning opportunities ● Support: An internal mobility team focused on helping you achieve your career goals ● Rewards: Comprehensive benefits and wellness packages, 401K with company match, and competitive pay and paid time off ● Community: Award-winning culture of innovation and a military-friendly workplace The likely salary range for this position is $59,500 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
