About The Position

This opportunity with HII's Warfare Systems business group is for a professional to provide technical and operational assessments on a range of encroachment challenges, including RF Spectrum, Renewable Energy Technologies, and Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). The role involves developing strategies for open-air evaluations, offering subject matter expertise to a Fusion Cell, and interfacing with senior leaders, engineers, and intelligence officers. The ideal candidate will advise on courses of action to achieve modernization goals, represent the organization to external partners, and seek collaborative opportunities with DoD and Intelligence agencies. This position is located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio and is within a commutable distance from Beavercreek, Fairborn, Dayton, and Riverside.

Requirements

  • 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Clearance: Top Secret clearance minimum to start - Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with advanced security checks

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical operational assessments and summarize impacts to test and training across the entire range of encroachment challenges from RF Spectrum and Renewable Energy Technologies and proposed development efforts.
  • Provide technical operational assessments on Counter Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) issues, risks, mitigation strategies and courses of action (COAs)
  • Provide concise operational and technical assessments on material opportunities providing prioritized recommendations for senior government leaders.
  • Develop and refine targeted strategies for open air evaluations and range integration of relevant test and training capabilities.
  • Provide Fusion Cell (FC) subject matter expertise, strategic and tactical priorities and guidelines in support of modernization & transformational initiatives.
  • Interfaces with the organization's senior leaders, engineers and intelligence officers to support development and execution of modernization initiative and integration of future advanced test capabilities.
  • Advise Director, staff, and other internal/external customers on COAs necessary to achieve modernization goals.
  • Represents organization and FC Director to external customers / partners as programmatic subject matter expertise on modernization initiatives and acquisition strategies in support thereof.
  • Seeks out & develops collaborative opportunities with DoD and Intelligence agency partners in support of organizational modernization goals.
