About The Position

Through the Department of War (DoW) SkillBridge Program, GDIT offers transitioning service members the opportunity to gain hands-on training and professional experience as an Intelligence Analyst Fellow, supporting mission-focused intelligence efforts in Tampa, Florida. In this Fellowship, participant will observe and participate in real-world intelligence analysis activities that support the Intelligence Community while gaining exposure to open-source intelligence (OSINT) research, publicly available information (PAI) analysis, intelligence gap identification, threat and risk assessment support, and the development of analytic products used to inform Government mission requirements. The Intelligence Analyst Fellow will work alongside experienced intelligence professionals, including in support of a senior Targeting and Cyber analyst, in a mission-driven environment focused on identifying, analyzing, consolidating, and reporting information from a variety of intelligence resources. Under the guidance of experienced staff and leadership, Fellows will develop skills in OSINT/PAI analysis, multi-source research, analytic writing, briefing preparation, and monitoring online information environments, while gaining familiarity with how intelligence professionals research, synthesize, evaluate, and communicate complex information, help mitigate program risk, and apply advanced analytical tools, structured methodologies, and reporting standards to generate actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of experience as a multi-disciplined all-source intelligence analyst, ideally having had experience in open-source research, threat/risk assessments with specialization in counterintelligence, Operations Security, and/or Program Protection preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting Military or Federal Intelligence organizations.
  • Experience with data analytics, data visualization, or imagery analysis.
  • Experience employing OSINT/PAI analysis and collection TTPs to conduct comprehensive analysis.
  • Experience conducting investigations across social media, forums, dark web spaces, and cyber enumeration
  • Ability to employ advanced analytical tools and processes in conjunction with open source/publicly available information analysis to generate historical and predictive representations of relevant entities including characteristics and patterns.
  • Familiarity with responding to requests for information by researching, synthesizing, evaluating, and drafting assessments based on multi-sourced information.
  • Strong writing, oral, and interpersonal skills to draft complex analysis and concisely convey relevance to senior government officials and personnel less familiar with Intelligence Community (IC) processes, structure and limitations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of operating within a SharePoint Environment preferred.
  • Expertise in creating analytic charts, visualizations, and intelligence products.
  • Familiarity with the intelligence cycle or Joint Targeting cycle.
  • Understanding of ICS 206-01
  • Understanding of ICD 703, Protection of Classified National Intelligence.
  • Working knowledge of ICD 203, Analytical Standards.
  • Familiarity with ICD 204, National Intelligence Priorities Framework.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • On-site attendance required on customer site in Tampa, FL.
  • Fellowship duration and schedule aligned with SkillBridge program and training leadership requirements.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Has served at least 180 days on active duty
  • Can participate within the last 6 months of separation or retirement
  • Will receive an honorable discharge
  • Has taken any service TAP/TGPS
  • Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
  • Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoW SkillBridge Program prior to start of the fellowship.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Observing and supporting intelligence activities that identify, analyze, consolidate, and report on information from various intelligence resources in support of Government mission requirements.
  • Assisting with open-source research and publicly available information analysis to help develop actionable insights from a variety of online and intelligence-relevant sources.
  • Supporting a senior Targeting and Cyber analyst and other intelligence personnel in the preparation of assessments, white papers, studies, reports, and briefing materials.
  • Observing how intelligence professionals identify intelligence gaps, assess complex analytical issues, and help develop recommendations to fill or mitigate those gaps.
  • Assisting with responses to requests for information by researching, synthesizing, evaluating, and organizing multi-sourced information for analytic review.
  • Supporting analytic efforts related to national security, technology, infrastructure, geographic areas, biographic data, and vulnerabilities.
  • Observing and assisting with OSINT/PAI analysis and collection TTPs used to conduct comprehensive analysis in support of mission requirements.
  • Supporting the development of OSINT products for targeting, assessments, supply chain analysis, vendor due diligence, and network evaluations.
  • Assisting with continuous monitoring, analysis, and assessment of global, trans-regional, regional, and tailored areas of online media and news sources.
  • Observing how experienced analysts employ advanced analytical tools and processes to generate historical and predictive representations of relevant entities, characteristics, and patterns.
  • Supporting the preparation of written and verbal products intended for senior Government officials and personnel with varying familiarity with Intelligence Community processes, structure, and limitations.
  • Assisting with the organization and maintenance of research findings, analytic materials, and reporting documentation using Microsoft Office and SharePoint-based environments.
