About The Position

The purpose of this position is to spread the message of the restored Church of Jesus Christ around the world. This is accomplished in part through the creation of engaging, unified messaging with greater reach and efficiency. Church messages are delivered via television, film, web, print, mobile, social media, and other delivery channels in multiple languages. We always seek new, improved, and more innovative ways to bring the world unto Christ. The purpose of this full-time position is to support the work of The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, whose mission is to create music that inspires people throughout the world to draw closer to the Divine and feel God’s love for His children. The Choir’s current key objectives are to be more intentional in missionary work, be more visible in the world, reflect the Church’s worldwide mission and membership, and use technology to extend the Choir’s reach. This career-level position supports the Choir office staff and marketing team by serving as the primary liaison between The Tabernacle Choir and key legal and administrative partners. The role ensures clear coordination, timely submissions, and consistent follow-through on matters related to intellectual property, music licensing, and contracts (i.e. venues and volunteer performer agreements), while also providing operational support across marketing initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and four years' experience in related field with at least two years directly involved in intellectual property work
  • Equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience totaling at least eight years may be considered
  • Must demonstrate initiative to get results and work with team to get work accomplished, perform well under stressful situations, and be flexible in working to meet committed schedules
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills – a self-starter
  • Comfortable coordinating across multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workflows at once
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn and navigate internal processes and systems
  • Interest in marketing operations and digital platforms
  • Ability to train others on complex requirements, including those related to Intellectual Property, Visual Identity Office and Correlation Evaluation policies
  • Advanced capacity with Microsoft Office Products - Email, Excel, Word
  • Must be able to travel internationally without restrictions
  • Must live within 100 miles of Salt Lake City, Utah, being able to work in office several days per week
  • May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required to meet broadcast, concert and tour demands

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for: Church Intellectual Property Office (IPO) Music licensing team (Correlation Department) Guest artist and venue contracts with Office of General Counsel (OGC)
  • Coordinate the submission, tracking, and follow-up of all requests requiring review or approval from these groups
  • Own and manage internal processes related to legal coordination, ensuring timelines and requirements are clearly communicated
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather needed information and documentation
  • Maintain organized records related to licensing, contracts, and approvals
  • Support the marketing efforts by assisting with operational and administrative needs, such as: Photography & music cataloging and related processes Weekly website content, including updates and posts including clearing digital assets through IPO Data analytics for website, social media, and YouTube channels Creation and maintenance of music playlists for Spotify and other streaming platforms
  • Does not include direct people management responsibilities such as hiring/termination, payroll approval, performance reviews, etc.
