About The Position

The Integration Technician is a specialized role within the Production team, responsible for system-level hardware testing and software configuration, including system imaging, BIOS setup, functional testing, and basic troubleshooting. This role ensures products meet strict quality standards, production schedules, and regulatory requirements (ISO, ESD, 5S). The ideal candidate has strong PC integration expertise and performs test procedures accurately while adhering to safety and industry standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required. Technical/scientific field education or completion of formal technical training (2+ years) preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in PC hardware testing, software integration, or IT hardware is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of PC hardware and software, MS operating systems, and network connectivity for station/server setup.
  • Ability to read and follow ISO procedures, BOMs, and technical instructions precisely.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage changing workloads and priorities to meet order schedules.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, crouch, or crawl regularly during the shift.
  • Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 35 lbs.
  • Must wear back support belt for tasks involving lifting over 35 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel and provide offsite support when required.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical/scientific field education or completion of formal technical training (2+ years) preferred.
  • Product-oriented certificates are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Linux OS (CentOS/UNIX) and ability to set up and RAID configurations is a strong plus.
  • Experience with OS imaging tools, diagnostic utilities, and basic scripting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex system integration and functional testing for all products (systems, CPU boards, data acquisition boards), including hardware inspection, BIOS/firmware/driver configuration and updates, OS and application software installation.
  • Configure products according to work instructions, Customization to Order (CTO) files and customer-specific requirements.
  • Perform advanced rework, upgrades, modifications, and testing to configure products to customer specifications, including handling specialized requests.
  • Conduct system-level functional testing and easy troubleshooting to verify and ensure product quality and performance meet specifications.
  • Execute hardware and software ECOM (Engineering Change Order) rework, upgrades, and modifications to firmware, software, and application components.
  • Record test results, defects, and Work in Progress (WIP) updates accurately in the MES system.
  • Follow ISO procedures, SOPs, OEM documentation, and engineering guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with ESD controls, safety regulations, and 5S practices.
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Production Engineering (PE) to resolve functional issues and meet quality targets.
  • Ensure on-time delivery and promptly escalate any process issues or abnormalities.
  • Support general production activities and assist engineers as needed to meet operational objectives.
