Focus on translating specific business requirements into technical solution architectures including application architecture, integration architecture, data architecture, and non-functional requirements around supportability, resiliency, security, etc. Translate general business requirements and business trends in architecture patterns and technology ecosystems including data center architecture, application architecture patterns, integration architecture patterns, technology standards, non-functional technical requirements, and computing paradigms. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.
  • 8 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • API Management: Manage and support Azure API Management or similar API Gateway platforms, demonstrating expertise in configuration and policy management.
  • API Design and Security: Apply API design principles and OpenAPI specifications while implementing security practices, including OAuth2, JWT, and Azure AD/Entra ID.
  • Monitoring and Diagnostics: Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for API performance monitoring and diagnostics.
  • Scripting and Automation: Deploy APIs using ARM templates, Terraform, PowerShell, or Azure CLI for automation.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Manage CI/CD pipelines for API deployment using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Implement containerization (Docker/Podman) and manage deployments in OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
  • Support & Operations: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the platform, overseeing APIM platform administration tasks such as capacity planning, upgrades, backup/restore, access management, and incident resolution.

  • Google Cloud – Apigee API Engineer Certification

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and administer APIs on Azure API Management, including the Self-Hosted Gateway on OpenShift.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for platform administration, implementing security and governance policies while automating deployments using Terraform and CI/CD.
  • Maintain broad awareness and knowledge of the API Management platform and industry trends, particularly with the evolution of AI.
  • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn new technologies and drive their implementation.
  • Provide after-hours (24/7) on-call support as part of a rotation.
