About The Position

Integration Engineer The Opportunity: As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to leading the adaptation of multiple vendor subsystems to comply with the Modular Active Protection Systems (APS) Framework (MAF). We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to interact with subsystem vendors in both a technical and programmatic manner, as well as the development and maintenance of systems engineering artifacts required to support the adaptation effort. At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to help develop and integrate modular active protection systems to transform the survivability and protection of the nation's warfighters and ground vehicle systems. That’s why we need you, an electrical engineer with a background in systems integration and design, familiarity with Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) modeling and design approaches, and an understanding of system-level networking design principles to help us advance new survivability and protection technologies that will ultimately be fielded onto Army ground vehicles and used in theater. On our team, you’ll provide direct customer support, system modeling, generating system-level design products, and support in the evaluation of a subsystem to the specified requirements. You’ll directly impact the Army's ability to bring warfighters and ground vehicles home safely by influencing the way new technologies are integrated onto ground vehicle platforms. We’ll look to you to share your electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge while broadening your skill set. Take on exciting challenges in the Army as we identify and implement new technologies designed to increase the survivability and protection of our warfighters and ground vehicles. Join us. The world can’t wait.

Requirements

  • Experience with systems integration and design
  • Knowledge of MOSA modeling and design approaches
  • Knowledge of SysML modeling language
  • Knowledge of basic system architecture work products, including block diagrams, interface diagrams, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams
  • Knowledge of system-level vehicle networking design principles such as data bandwidth, throughput, and determinism
  • Ability to work independently on system-level design concepts with minimal oversight from other team members, convey a design concept to a larger team, and defend design decisions when challenged
  • Ability to quickly break down complex engineering tasks and identify a solution approach
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

Nice To Haves
