About The Position

The Integrated Pest Manager (IPM) plays a vital role in maintaining the safety through proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Best Management Practices (BMP)applications to the golf course. The IPM manager will monitor and prevent disease, noxious weeds and pest activity with precision, care, and environmental responsibility and stewardship. In this role, you will implement IPM programs under the direction of the Director of Golf Maintenance and the Superintendent, conduct daily routine inspections, apply sustainable treatment methods, and ensure compliance with local, state, federal and Four Seasons health and safety standards. You will work closely with the Director of Golf Maintenance and the Superintendent to maintain a pristine environment and protect the guest experience. Please note that this role will be onboarded after February 1st, 2026.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in pest control, environmental health, or an IPM-focused role preferred.
  • Valid Florida Pesticide Commercial Applicators license (or ability to obtain).
  • Knowledge of BMP IPM principles, pest biology, and safe chemical handling practices.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to educate others in golf maintenance on preventative applications and scouting.
  • Computer proficiency for logging reports and maintaining compliance records.
  • Ability to multitask, troubleshoot, and remain calm in high-demand situations.
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine daily golf course inspections scouting for disease, weeds or pests.
  • Implement and maintain Integrated Pest Management procedures, focusing on prevention and safe targeted curative treatments.
  • Respond quickly to pest-related applications and follow proper state required documentation and reporting requirements set forth by the FDEP.
  • Maintain chemical inventories and ensure all treatments comply with regulatory and Four Seasons standards.
  • Train staff across the golf department on safe pesticide handling, and preventive measures to support IPM goals.
  • Ensure all recordkeeping — including logs, inspection reports, and compliance forms — is accurate and up to date at the end of each day.
  • Address guest or staff concerns professionally and escalate when appropriate.
  • Walk Spray greens with tank mixtures including but not limited to fertilizer, fungicide and insecticide.
  • Boom spray fairways with a Toro 5800 GeoLink sprayer.
  • Walk spread granular fertilizer weekly with a Lesco Spreader
  • Ability to operate a John Deere tractor and Adams/Chandler spreader for wall to wall granular bulk applications
  • Hand pull weeds when necessary
