Leidos is seeking a talented life cycle logistician, located in our Dayton, Ohio office. Activities include providing integrated logistics and product support in fielding new systems/products in support of various emerging US Air Force (USAF) programs. Candidate shall apply logistics expertise to perform various tasks related to the planning, managing, and coordinating the total cradle-to-grave life cycle logistics support for assigned systems or subsystems, integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance into logistics activities required to sustain the system be fielded. Must be able to work successfully with all levels of engineering, program management, and program leadership, including logistical counterparts, AFLCMC directorates and headquarters, AFRL, HQ AFMC, prime contractors and subcontractors, and other government and private sector personnel. Must be able to work on-site. Situational telework may be available Primary Responsibilities Provide logistical support for USAF programs and projects focused on aircraft weapon systems, subsystems, and related equipment. Conduct and perform product support analysis (PSA) tasks using MIL-HDBK-502A Perform Reliability & Maintainability Assessment (RMA) to determine, define, identify, document, and submit logistics support elements and data requirements. Administratively provide, track, and maintain status of CDRLs pertaining to logistics tasks Apply all required markings to individual product items, in accordance with USG approved requirements, to include safety and installation markings Perform the Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation (PHS&T) for individual project items IAW USG approved PHS&T requirements Work with government and contractor engineers to identify ground support equipment (GSE) to support engineering design efforts, follow on production, and flight test demonstration efforts as applicable. Provide technical analysis, authorship, and editing at pre/post-publication reviews and verification reviews of technical orders for both MIL-STD and COTS products Handle tasks associated with records management and coordination of briefings and reports Assists in producing or reviewing documents for the program office that support the breadth of the projects acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts. Participate in integrated logistics support management meetings, PMRs, and related meetings Review basic contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine maintenance/repair requirements Apply logistics knowledge to perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation and management of a comprehensive, affordable and effective systems support strategy with a primary focus on the following product support elements: Reliability and Maintainability Core Support Considerations Storage and Facilities Support Equipment Manpower and Personnel Operational Depot Timelines Operator Workloads Government Furnished Equipment requirements for Prototyping efforts Responsible for participating in the program's Support Equipment Working Group (SEWG) Responsible for identifying all SE requirements and associated equipment recommendations required to operate, provide training for, and sustain at the operational level for the system via Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERD) Report submittals to the US Government stakeholders Responsible for identifying and documenting all hand tools (powered and non-powered) required to support the system. Work with other life cycle logisticians to provide product support to the Logistics Manager and Product Support Manager (PSM) for the execution of the PSM’s duties as the Total Life Cycle Systems Manager.
