As an Intake Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient intake process. Your focus will be on gathering accurate patient information, coordinating appointments, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance the overall patient experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Bilingual – Spanish/English Required
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient intake or a related role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with healthcare information systems and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and verify patient information, ensuring accuracy and completeness during the intake process.
  • Coordinate appointments and communicate effectively with patients to provide necessary information.
  • Accurately enter patient information into electronic health records and other relevant systems.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for patient inquiries, providing information and assistance with empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth transitions between intake and care.
  • Conduct regular audits of intake data to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development of streamlined intake processes.
  • Collaborate with the Intake Supervisor and other team members to enhance communication and workflow.
  • Participate in training sessions and contribute to a positive team culture.
