About The Position

Hiring Intake Coordinator – Houston The Intake Coordinator facilitates the referral intake process, coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, patients/clients, families, and referral sources. This role ensures accurate documentation, timely communication, and smooth onboarding of new referrals across multiple payor types. Deblin Health Concepts & Associates, LLC (DHC) is a mental health service agency providing a wide array of services in Houston, Beaumont, Cleveland, Humble, San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas, TX. Mental health counseling, intensive case management, skills training, psychosocial rehab, and hospital discharge planning/liaison services are among the services provided. Requirements

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary clinical teams
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage documentation across multiple payor classes (Medicaid, commercial insurance, Medicare Part D)
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative working style
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience in administration within a health or human services setting

  • Associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee efficient daily operations of the Intake Department
  • Facilitate the referral intake process including receipt, documentation, and insurance verification
  • Serve as a resource to Intake staff, interpreting policies and resolving questions
  • Coordinate care between interdisciplinary teams, patients/clients, families, and referral sources
  • Maintain reports and ensure timely, professional communication
  • Manage documentation related to insurance plans, benefits, and coverage requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
