Conduct initial d iversion/intake screening prior to contacting 211 to verify homelessness eligibility of individuals and families. Support the quarantine placement of COVID individuals and families in DSS-contracted hotel. The Intake Program Associate will r espond to all incoming calls from clients and/or providers . Pick up clients and transport them to the appropriate shelter as determined by 211/DSS, s upport quarantine of COVID clients through proper documentation prior to their hotel placement, transportation to quarantine, and providing food, hygiene items, hotel rules. They will work with designated hotel agencies/shelters to provide a warm client hand off. M aintain and update transportation logs and documentation via shift notes, and c ommunicate with other shift Program Associates/Caseworkers/admin as needed. They will e nsure there is adequate staffing prior to leaving a shift. Observes all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures. Perform additional duties related to housing individuals and helping them remain housed, including but not limited to furnishing and supplying apartments. This is a Full Time Position at 35 Hours a Week. Pay For This Position is $18.00 Per Hour

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. with up to three (3) years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Valid N.Y.S. Driver’s License
  • N.Y.S. Central Registry clearance
