About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient orders and communications from hospitals or doctor's offices, ensuring seamless insurance verification and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• Customer service expertise.
• Prior authorization experience.
• Medical and data entry skills.
• Insurance knowledge.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
• Prior insurance verification experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but open to an associate's degree.
• Strong multitasking abilities.
• Insurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Intake patient orders from hospitals or doctor's offices.
• Utilize the Bright Tree System to navigate NJ HMO websites, commercial insurance portals, and Medicare systems.
• Contact insurance providers to verify benefits and coverage.
• Assign appropriate codes in the internal system.
• Communicate with patients to confirm pricing and orders.
• Answer phone calls and handle patient inquiries.
• Process orders and approvals through insurance portals.
• Handle a high call volume, including transfers and quick questions.
