About The Position

We are seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will: Verify insurance coverage and benefits using all available verification and eligibility tools. Contact payers to obtain additional information and secure necessary referrals, authorizations, or pre-certifications prior to services as required by the payer. Collect patient information to confirm unique identifiers for clinical purposes, billing, and collections. Estimate self-pay portions after benefits are determined (including deductibles, co-pays, and non-covered services). Accurately capture and enter patient demographic, financial, and clinical data into various systems, including pre-registration and scanning platforms.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years in benefits/referral coordination, insurance verification, authorization, AR, or medical billing within a healthcare/hospital setting.
  • Familiarity with all payors and payor portals.
  • Strong computer skills
  • EPIC experience is highly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a huge plus.
