Responsibilities include: Qualifying and quoting prospects, selling memberships and personal lines insurance products. Collecting premiums, binding coverage, entering policy data into insurance systems, and responding to all underwriting inquiries. Developing a complete and thorough working knowledge of all insurance policy provisions, rating factors, rules, and insurance systems. Following up with members and insureds and prospecting for new business. Inspecting related documentation and resolving membership and insurance problems using discretion and independent judgment. Multi-tasking and identifying cross-selling opportunities. Working some evenings, weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required, college degree preferred
  • 1-3 years sales experience preferred
  • Must have moderate proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Advanced communication skills required, both written and oral.
  • Ability to qualify for a Personal Lines License and a Life Insurance License
  • Possess a competitive sales drive to meet and exceed monthly goals
  • Successful completion of a background, credit check and drug screen
  • Possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
