About The Position

The Insurance Market Manager will oversee all insurance lines of Farmers National Insurance including, insurance sales and service, within a given region. This position is responsible for developing and managing a book of business as well as partnering with internal lines of business and external centers of influence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required, (Associates Degree in Business preferred)
  • Must have Property and Casualty License and Life License
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with insurance related products required
  • Prior experience in a sales environment
  • E-Verify is used to confirm the identity and employment eligibility of all newly hired employees.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuing sales and service of existing sales book while fostering new client relationships by determining their particular insurance needs addressing short and long term goals.
  • Responsible for the development, training, and retention of the agency workforce.
  • Responsible for producers to cross sell products to their existing accounts.
  • Maintain high quality of underwriting to preserve loss ratios.
  • Develop and perpetuate productive relationships with each carrier.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and presentations
  • Partner with Branch personnel to prospect new clients and service existing clients
  • Handle incoming client inquiries via phone as well as email and in person contact
  • Uncover and close new sales opportunities for P&C and Life and Health insurance plans
  • Create and deliver various production reports to management on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Hire, train, develop and lead a team of customer service reps to provide exceptional service and maintain a high retention threshold for all policy holders during renewal or in the face of competitive activity
  • Maintain high degree of industry and product knowledge for the benefit of clients and the agency
  • Meet and exceed client needs and expectations by answering coverage and policy change questions in a timely manner
  • Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money Laundering procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position
