This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement. Wilson Elser's Milwaukee office is currently seeking an Insurance Coverage/Insurance Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing insurance coverage group.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin
  • 1+ years coverage litigation experience
  • Experience in areas of insurance coverage such as coverage opinions (CGL, Excess, Professional Liability, D & O and property)
  • Experience in both third-party and first-party claims
  • Coverage analysis and writing experience.
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on insurance coverage matters
  • Draft coverage opinion and coverage position letters
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and handle discovery in coverage litigation
  • Communicate with clients and draft reports to clients Under the supervision and guidance of senior attorneys, proactively manage a litigation caseload, helping oversee cases from beginning to end
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to transportation laws, regulations, and legal standards
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Draft case analysis reports to client stakeholders with an eye towards developing proactive resolution strategies.
