About The Position
The New York City office of a global law firm seeks an Insurance Defense Associate on a temporary basis (possibility of permanent conversion). The schedule is hybrid: three days onsite; two days remote. The hourly rate is $50-$60, depending upon experience. Primary Duties: You will join a highly-regarded insurance defense practice representing a broad spectrum of industries and individuals ranging from nursing homes and premises owners to engineers and doctors. Working closely with a Senior Partner you will be involved with complex cases from inception to conclusion. Additional duties include the following: Assist with drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses. Assist with the discovery process by administering depositions, issuing interrogatories and reviewing documents. Perform legal research. Make court appearances.
Requirements
- New York State bar admission
- Prior insurance defense experience
