About The Position

As an Insurance Analyst the primary responsibility is to work with all Hunt business units as well as external partners for the placement of all commercial insurance. This position will assist the department in identifying risks, investigating available markets and coverages, negotiating insurance coverage, and coordinating renewal and new placements, endorsements, and any other changes to existing insurance programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Insurance or related business degree.
  • Progress toward or completion of insurance designations (e.g., ARM, COCU, AINS, etc.)
  • 1-4 years of insurance placement experience with energy, commercial real estate, and privately held businesses.
  • Working knowledge of insurance principles and policy structures.
  • Working knowledge of available markets and options for placements.
  • Ability to produce work with time constraints.
  • Team player with ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent business software skills required, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Minimal travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely renewals, premium payments, and policy updates for certain business units.
  • Review policy language, declaration pages, endorsements, and certificates of insurance for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage insurance claims from initial reporting through resolution.
  • Manage insurance and loss information requests across IBUs, both internally and externally.
  • Responsible for coordination of all internal and external correspondence regarding company legacy litigation.
  • Assist with audits and contractual insurance requirements. Review and manage insurance broker and outside vendor relationships accordingly.
  • Manage surety program for the Hunt family of companies.
  • Maintain internal policy documentation recordkeeping and storage.
  • Responsible for special projects, as assigned.
