Requirements

• High School Degree or General Education Degree (GED).
• Licensed to sell insurance in applicable state.
• Willingness to test for additional licenses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to keep accurate records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs or similar software.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work independently.
• Excellent time management, communications, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Licensure in Property/Casualty and Life/Health or Crop Insurance.

• While performing this job the employee would occasionally be required to carry loads up to and including 24lbs.
• It is frequently necessary to bend, squat, reach above the shoulder level, crouch, kneel, balance and push/pull equipment.
• Firm grasping/fine manipulation with the right/left hand is necessary.
• In an 8-hour day, the employee can expect to sit about 6 hours.

Responsibilities

• Contacts prospective customers about insurance products and policies.
• Meets with potential customers to discuss adequacy of existing insurance coverage and related financial resources.
• Explains various insurance policies and products to potential and existing customers; guides customers in selecting coverage to best meet their needs.
• Suggests modifications and updates to customer's existing insurance policies.
• Builds customized insurance policies and packages to meet customer's needs.
• Processes insurance policy renewals.
• Assists customers with filing insurance claims.
• Maintains print and electronic records and files as required.
• Promotes and represents the agency and makes referrals to other departments.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Provide helpful and informative service and support to all customers and associates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer and internal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
