About The Position

DeNooyer Direct Insurance Services is seeking a dedicated Insurance Agency Customer Service Representative to join our team in Colonie, NY. Our insurance agency is located inside the DeNooyer Chevrolet dealership. In this role, you will be a point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support related to their insurance policies. You will assist clients with their inquiries and ensure a smooth and positive experience throughout their interaction with our agency. DeNooyer Direct Insurance Services operating hours are Mon-Thur 9:00am -7:00pm; Fri 9:00am - 6:00pm and Sat 9:00am - 5:00pm. This is a part time position - the candidate must have availability some evenings and rotating Saturdays. Schedule to be determined.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in insurance is a plus.
Previous customer service experience, preferably within the insurance or automotive industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with computer systems and customer management software.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, and directing to the assigned agent if necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and documentation.
Collaborate with the insurance carriers and internal teams (both agency staff and dealership sales and office personnel) to resolve issues and provide solutions for mutual customers.
Support administrative tasks related to customer service operations such as gathering information for policy changes, payment processing and filing.
