About The Position

We are looking to fill an open account manager position on our Employee Benefits Team. Employee Benefits Professionals in an Oklahoma City based employee benefits consulting agency helping employers throughout Oklahoma and beyond with the complex issues that arise in the field of employee benefits. The Employee Benefit Account Manager serves as the liaison between the Producer and their customers. We are looking for a dedicated and personable account manager to maintain our clients' accounts and serve as a point of contact. Applicants should also be comfortable working with spreadsheets, audits, and other organizational software.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of insurance markets.
  • Strong PC skills with the ability to effectively utilize Agency management systems.
  • Ability to work within a fast paced, changing priority environment.
  • Self-motivated with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directed.
  • The ability to interact effectively with colleagues and managers in a team environment.
  • Ability to successfully adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy while multitasking and juggling several responsibilities simultaneously.
  • State issued life and health insurance license, or the ability to quickly obtain required.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Manages an assigned book of business and builds, expands, and solidifies relationships with existing clients.
  • Ensure all proposals and submissions, including applications, are complete, accurate and meet company requirements; review existing coverage with the producer or insured and update specifications; compile and review loss experience.
  • Keep a record of and follow up each account marketed, the carriers used, and status until complete.
  • Review and verify correct rates and premiums for requested coverage on new and renewal accounts
  • Check new and renewal policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy in rating, typing, coverage, signatures, and input data per guidelines.
  • Inform and educate clients about policy coverage, changes, exclusions, and insurance coverage needs.
  • Determine reasons for requests for cancellations, act to save accounts, notify producers according to agency guidelines; process and follow-up on cancellation requests to carriers to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
  • Perform all actions relating to customers and companies in a manner that will avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions.
  • Maintain a weekly log of new business submitted, quotes issued, and policies written.
  • Participate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses and for knowledge and skill development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
