About The Position

As an Insulation Parts Assembler, you will be responsible for producing and assembling various parts of the transformer such as angle rings, cylinders, etc. using paper insulation. This position is designed for someone who brings a blend of technical expertise and a commitment to safety and quality compliance. As you progress in your job role, you would be able to support us in growing the department by assisting in the training and development of new hires in the organization.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent with relevant technical training/experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the insulation of medium to large transformer parts or of similar electrical equipment is required.
  • Ability to use math, read and interpret complex drawings, and perform complex measurements.
  • Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain Forklift License and a Critical Lift level crane license and certification for working in heights.
  • Applicant must be able to obtain Keys certification test on reading and writing and Blueprint reading test offered by local community college.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests.
  • Must also be able to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English.
  • Must be willing to relocate temporarily to Mexico, Brazil or Germany for on-the-job training for a period of 3 months based on the proficiency in the area of training. Appropriate relocation support and compensation will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for producing, assembling, and preparing insulation materials for various transformer components, including interpreting technical drawings to determine insulation parameters
  • Conducts measurements and evaluations during insulation stages to ensure correct tolerances, and performs final inspections and quality checks in line with technical standards
  • Assists in developing and maintaining technical documentation and instructions related to the insulation assembly process
  • Training and mentoring of new hires into the department.
  • Planning and reviewing the tasks to be carried out according to pre-established production plan and manufacturing standards.
  • Responsible to fulfill and/or to support fulfilment of all protocols, policies, guidelines, and competences coming from all current system [EHS, QA, CyberSec, etc.].
