About The Position

As an Instrumentation Test Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to ensure the quality and reliability of our products through effective test engineering practices. Your strong proficiency in measurement engineering principles will enable you to design and build measurement systems that meet industry standards and regulations. You will play a vital role in developing and executing test plans and procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will impact the overall enhancement of our solutions by analyzing test results and providing valuable insights and recommendations for product improvements. Your technical guidance and support will empower the test engineers in your team to excel in their roles and deliver high-quality results. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in test engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of test methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in leading and coordinating testing activities.
  • Proficiency in using data acquisition hardware and software.

Nice To Haves

  • Significant engineering experience designing and installing various instrumentation sensors and data acquisition systems
  • Test engineering experience with specific focus on new product development and/or certification testing
  • Experience working with engineering technicians and writing technical documentation and work instructions
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and mentor others
  • Individuals who take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by event
  • Track record of successful contribution to products & projects
  • Advanced Engineering degrees such as ME (Mechanical Engineering) or EE (Electrical Engineering).
  • Experience in aerospace or defense industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced measurement sensors and deliver high-quality solutions for various turbomachinery products.
  • Define measurement system integration that delivers reliable and accurate test data.
  • Create standards and documentation for measurement sensor installations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including test engineers, lab engineers, project engineers, and design engineers, to define requirements, specifications, and timelines for measurement methods.
  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software, such as SolidWorks and NX.
  • Lead and coordinate the testing activities for assigned projects.
  • Analyze test results and provide recommendations for product improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to test engineers.
