We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The technical professional we seek is a collaborative and motivated team player with the following qualifications.

Requirements

  • High school/GED + 1 year of maintenance, operations, manufacturing work experience or military experience OR Associate's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with instrumentation, calibration, and metrology programs.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance with emphasis on sanitary processing equipment and systems.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience working in a cGMP regulated environment.
  • Experience documenting work orders in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs and technical diagrams.
  • Technical school training with hands-on experience in operations, manufacturing, or maintenance.
  • Strong computer and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled calibration, corrective maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of instruments and equipment used in process control systems and building systems across the site.
  • Complete quality and safety documentation while performing work in a safe, compliant, and timely manner according to predefined schedules and in alignment with GMPs, SOPs, and Amgen policies.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems as needed.
  • Ensure work activities are communicated effectively to system operators and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure work order documentation is completed accurately and completely in the maintenance management system.
  • Work in a highly productive and efficient manner to maximize maintenance activities while minimizing impact to production.
  • Review or contribute to maintenance of reports, forms, plans, and records as required.
  • Identify waste, workflow interruptions, and opportunities for improvement; recommend solutions and assist with implementation.
  • Actively participate in training and development to build new technical skills and improve overall team performance.
  • Represent the maintenance team in cross-functional discussions and meetings when required.
  • Provide facility and manufacturing support including participation in on-call rotations or shifts outside normal working hours (nights, weekends, or holidays) as needed.
  • Available to work the various shifts (day, swing, graves, weekends, holidays, 5x8hrs, 4x10hrs, 3 or 4x12hrs) or as needed.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to read and understand technical documentation such as operating manuals and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and communicate task status effectively.
