About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for an Instrumentation Systems and Integration Engineer to join their team in Berkeley, MO, supporting Phantom Works. This role is open for both Entry-Level and Associate Level engineers. The position involves applying knowledge of aerospace components, systems, and related test equipment, facilities, processes, and methods. Key responsibilities include analyzing engineering designs to define testing requirements, preparing test plans and documentation, designing and operating test facilities and instrumentation systems, conducting various levels of tests (component, sub-system, system, and system-of-systems), preparing and reporting test results to ensure compliance, conducting aerospace research and preliminary design, developing and transitioning test technology, and performing metrology services such as calibration, certification, and maintenance on related instruments and equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

Nice To Haves

  • Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 1+ years of experience designing special test equipment for flight programs and supporting proposals
  • 2+ years of experience with precision test and measurement devices
  • 2+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) or something similar
  • 2+ years of experience with flight test, flight operations, or system test

Responsibilities

  • Applies knowledge of aerospace components, systems, and related test equipment, facilities, processes and methods including: Analyze engineering designs to define testing requirements
  • Prepare test plans, schedules and documentation
  • Design, develop and safely operate test facilities and instrumentation systems
  • Conduct component, sub-system, system and system-of-systems tests
  • Prepare analyze, and report test results to verify and validate design and performance to meet government, regulatory, customer and program compliance requirements
  • Conduct aerospace research and preliminary design; develop and transition test technology
  • Perform metrology services (calibration, certification & maintenance) on all related instruments and equipment
