As an Instrumentation and Control Engineering Intern, you will be part of a team that assists on a variety of projects to help new and existing nuclear power plants implement world-class nuclear instrumentation signal processing and control systems. You will work with experienced colleagues to develop new designs and help upgrade and refresh existing designs to the state-of-the-art in a growing field. You will report to the Engineering Supervisor and be located at our New Stanton facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • Knowledge of analog circuit analysis/design
  • Awareness of field devices and control devices typical to the power industry
  • Knowledge of lab equipment use (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator)

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering team for creating drawings and design/technical specifications Nuclear Instrumentation Systems
  • Compile technical documents / specifications for procurement/manufacturing
  • Support resolution of technical issues including obsolescence
  • Support supplier or manufacturing operations with technical issue resolution
  • Support creation of hardware design documentation such as cabinet layout drawings, cable/wiring schematics, and PCB layout/schematics
  • Support Test document creation and test execution
