Bruker AXS, a Bruker subsidiary, is looking for an Instrument Support Engineer to provide first line technical support to field engineers and customers using technical documentation, telephone support and remote diagnostic tools. They will also maintain spare parts inventory, applications lab equipment, and provide on-site customer and factory training. Travel as necessary to support field operations and cross train field engineers. This position is onsite in Madison, WI.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • High level technical hardware and software skills related to complex instrumentation.
  • Strong competency with complex systems and technology to include electrical/electronics, mechanics, software, and chemistry technology.
  • 2- or 4-year degree in electronics, physics, chemistry, related sciences, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Military training in technical fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical phone support to customers and field service personnel worldwide for Bruker AXS products.
  • Perform system repairs and maintain repair documentation of customer material and return to stock parts from the field.
  • Provide input and create service bulletins and other technical documentation.
  • Configure computers and peripherals as required
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of service training classes.
  • Assist in the development and updating of technical maintenance manuals.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve hardware and software problems in the field. Ensure Corrective/Preventive Action Reports (CPAR) are submitted as necessary.
  • Ability to travel, as necessary to support field operations. Up to 50% travel.
