The ideal candidate will be an experienced Instrument Design Engineer with expertise in flow control instruments and valves, capable of delivering detailed engineering, sizing, and selection for critical process applications. Requirements

  • 7+ years of design experience in Instrumentation
  • Proven experience as an Instrument Design Engineer within EPC or consulting firms
  • Strong technical background in flow control and valve engineering for industrial process applications.
  • Familiarity with international standards and best practices in instrumentation.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills for cross-discipline collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design and sizing of instrumentation with emphasis on: Control valves (globe, butterfly, ball)
  • On/off valves with pneumatic/electric actuators
  • Pressure Safety / Relief Valves
  • Flow meters (Coriolis, ultrasonic, DP, vortex, magnetic, orifice)
  • Prepare and review, Instrument data sheets and specifications for valves and flow instruments, Instrument Index / I/O List and hook-up drawings, Instrument location layout and installation drawings
  • Utilize valve and instrument sizing tools for engineering deliverables.
  • Generate technical requisitions, conduct vendor technical bid evaluations (TBE), and coordinate with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards (ISA, IEC, API 6D/6A, ISO 5167, ASME B16.34).
  • Collaborate with piping, mechanical, and process teams to integrate valve sizing and flow measurement data.
  • Prepare MTOs, loop diagrams, and termination schedules related to flow control devices.
  • Participate in P&ID reviews and Control Philosophy discussions.
