About The Position

The Maintenance Instrument Electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance of process manufacturing equipment and support systems within assigned areas. Candidates must safely and effectively troubleshoot and repair designated equipment. Candidates will complete work orders and document findings, actions and feedback. Candidates will perform preventive maintenance tasks and help identify and implement reliability improvements. Candidate must understand and comply with company safety policies and procedures. Job assignments may include work in chemical operations and plastic Compounding/extrusion. Must have the ability and willingness to work overtime and take call-ins as needed, including nights, weekends and holidays

Requirements

Certified Journeyman with a minimum of 3 years of journeyman experience OR
A 2-year educational certificate/ Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or other relevant course of study and 3 years applicable work experience OR
Must have 7 or more years of relevant maintenance experience
Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the position
Completion of a qualified maintenance training program and 3 years relevant work experience OR
Minimum of 7 years’ relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work Monday – Friday during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot failures and upsets on plant equipment, including pumps, motors, rotating equipment
Install, maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation, valves, and miscellaneous control equipment.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
Inspections, lubrications, and diagnosing trouble sources in machinery and equipment.
Repairing/ modifying or replacing new and existing plant equipment and facilities
Planning and laying out work, interpreting blueprints, manuals and other specifications.
Safely use a variety of tools and equipment associated with completion of varied work assignments.
