About The Position

The School of Education at Mount St. Joseph University invites applications for a full-time, term instructor beginning in August 2026. The preferred candidate will bring a strong background in mathematics education, classroom management, special education, and elementary education, as well as experience teaching in diverse educational settings. Mount St. Joseph University has provided an education that is based on interdisciplinary liberal arts and professional curricula emphasizing mission, values, integrity, and social responsibility since 1920. Faculty and staff deliver high-quality academics, hands-on experiential learning, and personalized attention to support student success.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in education or related field
  • Demonstrated experience preparing practitioners in evidence based educational practices
  • Working with diverse students, families, and school communities
  • A proven record of undergraduate and or graduate teaching and professional training of educators
  • Demonstrated proficiency with current instructional and administrative technologies, including productivity tools, learning management systems, and digital collaboration platforms
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office programs

Responsibilities

  • Teach a range of courses in undergraduate and graduate teacher preparation programs
  • Advising students
  • Supervising candidates in field experiences
  • Monitoring and refining degree programs
  • Supporting recruitment efforts
  • Providing service to the undergraduate or graduate program, department, university, and the broader professional community
