About The Position

The Rosen College of Hospitality Management (RCHM) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a 12-month Instructor or Lecturer and Program Director of Internships. The position reports to the Dean of the RCHM and is responsible for the college’s internship programs (including curriculum), administration, student recruitment, planning, and financial affairs. The Program Director acts as the college’s advocate to fulfill the missions of the schools, college, and university, while also participating on the college’s Executive Committee. The selected candidate will represent the college to students, faculty, administration, and the industry. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Requirements

  • Master’s degree for instructor or doctoral degree in an appropriate field of specialization for a lecturer from an accredited institution at the time of application.
  • Experience in relevant industry leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with others while promoting and maintaining a collaborative professional and positive departmental culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in the fields of Hospitality, Event, Entertainment, Food and Beverage, Lodging, Attractions, Tourism Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with teaching, training, internship, field experiences, learning management systems, processes, and procedures.
  • High level communication skills, both orally and written, with the ability to coordinate, plan, develop, implement and interpret procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with external organizations and stakeholders.
