Teaching Positions in Mathematics and Statistics The Pennsylvania State University, the Altoona College, invites applications for two or more positions in Mathematics or Statistics beginning in Fall 2026. The positions are for full-time Instructors or Assistant Teaching Professors whose duties involve primarily teaching and require an M.S. or Ph.D. in either Mathematics or Statistics. Preference will be given to applicants with degrees in Statistics and/or applicants with experience teaching upper-level statistics courses. The initial appointments are for one year. Applicants must be approved to begin working by August, 2026. Applicants should submit a letter of application establishing their qualifications, a current curriculum vitae, a description of teaching philosophy and evidence of teaching effectiveness, transcripts (official transcripts required at the time of an interview), and at least three letters of reference. One of the letters of reference should specifically address the applicant’s teaching. Application materials, including three letters of reference should be submitted at the time of application. System limitations allow for a total of 5 documents (5mb per document) as part of your application. Please combine materials to meet the 5-document limit. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
