Requirements

A Master’s Degree in Biology, or an associated field, with at least 18 graduate hours in biology or related areas is required.
Two years of teaching at a post-secondary level and/or related professional clinical experience is required.
The successful candidate will value diversity and have a multicultural perspective with adult/minority students; and have a high energy level along with a strong commitment to the community college philosophy.

Responsibilities

Classes taught can include the following: Principles of Biology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, and Genetics.
Responsibilities will include organizing and maintaining associated biology laboratories.
Responsibilities will include assessment, service on various college and department committees, maintenance of office hours, and other duties as assigned by the Dean.
Development of program specific curriculum, course guides, syllabi, and other materials related to the program.
Utilizing the Canvas LMS
Supervise adjunct instructors, as needed.
Instructor may be assigned day and evening classes, as well as classes at our satellite campuses (located within 15 miles of the main campus).
