FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY (FVSU), a state and land-grant institution of the University System of Georgia, invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor- Biology. Fort Valley State University, the only 1890 land-grant university in Georgia, is a comprehensive institution that provides an education to over 2,800 students including graduate students. JOB SUMMARY: This announcement is to assist in the building a pool of candidates for upcoming adjunct (part-time) opportunities within the Biology Program in the Department of Natural and Computational Sciences. Currently, we are recruiting for adjunct faculty to teach courses in Biology (for non-Majors and Majors), Anatomy and Physiology, and any additional courses as needed by the Program. Courses will be offered in in-person, hybrid, and/or online modalities.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Biology or related discipline.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check.
• Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills and teamwork.
• 2-3 years of experience at the university level.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in teaching Biology for non-Majors, Biology I and/or II (for Majors), Human Anatomy and Physiology I and/or II, and their associated labs.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate level Biology and related courses in a face-to-face, online, or hybrid format.
• Teach courses as assigned by the Department Chair and maintain University policies.
