Instructor, Land Surveying & Civil Engineering Tech - FT
About The Position
Under the general direction and supervision of the Division Dean/Associate Dean, the instructor is responsible for keeping up-to-date with the current industry and developing/updating courses for different delivery formats (classroom, hybrid, synchronous online, and asynchronous online). Teaching assignments for this position include, but are not limited to; Basic AutoCAD, Plane Surveying, Engineering Surveying, Geodetic Surveying, Aerial Surveying, Public Land Surveying, Route and Construction Surveying, Principles of Land Development and Boundary Control & Legal Principles. This position is also responsible for the maintenance of the labs and equipment, developing course objectives, implementing teaching strategies, advising students, monitoring and evaluating student progress, keeping accurate records, and working with the program and College teams. This is a full-time regular position.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology and/or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Tested experience by examination during the interview process.
- Examination will include knowledge and/or physical demonstration of competencies related to s CAD, UAVs, and data processing, and practical and applicational knowledge related to the site survey and submission process.
- Relevant certifications that may substitute for test experience would include but are not limited to state surveyor licensure and/or Part 107 certification.

- Complete and Maintain Program and Students Records
- Maintain Technical Competency in the Teaching Area
- Act as a Program Advisor for Students in the Computer Information Technology Program.
