As a part-time instructor in the Manufacturing, Skilled Trades & Applied Technology (MSTAT) department, you will provide instruction in all levels ofHeating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R), including certificate and/or transfer levels. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of residential air conditioning split systems, mini-split systems, heat pumps, gas and electric furnaces as well as heat load calculations, duct design, psychometrics, indoor air quality and humidifiers. You will work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop an innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success are your top priority. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills. You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College. The MSTAT team has a strong need for instructors with availability to teach daytime courses. This position does have the opportunity to work remotely occasionally but does require a strong on-campus presence and may require occasional travel to all three FRCC campuses.
