About The Position

The first community college established in Arkansas, Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) is a multi-campus, two-year college serving Eastern Arkansas. PCCUA has academic, occupational/technical and continuing education programs and offers over 25 associate degree programs with campuses in DeWitt, Helena-W. Helena and Stuttgart. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in law, criminal justice or closely related field preferred.
  • Experience and ability to conduct coursework online, utilize course delivery platforms such as Blackboard, ability to conduct virtual/online labs and integrate technology into instruction to meet the needs of students from a variety of backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) or more years of teaching experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with Blackboard, Workday and Zoom/Teams a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Teach full compliment of courses according to ACTS and course catalog, including but not limited to law enforcement, criminology, corrections and contemporary issues.
  • Courses primarily will be delivered face-to-face, but will also include online options.
  • Assist with recruiting and retention efforts as well as campus and college activities/projects/committees to further the mission of the college.
