About The Position

As a part-time instructor in the Computer Assisted Drafting (CAD) Program, you will provide instruction in all levels of Computer Assisted Design and Drafting, including certificate and/or transfer levels. Course assignments will be made based on experience. Specifically, CAD Program is currently looking to hire enthusiastic professionals from design and drafting industry who are interested in teaching one or more of the following design and CAD software courses: Mechanical Design, Geometric Dimension/Tolerance, Civil Survey and Drafting, CAD software 2D and 3D AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, Fusion, 3DS MAX, SketchUp, 3D Civil or SolidWorks, 3D printing and Scanning. Documented work experience per the necessary course is required. You will work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success is your top priority. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills. You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College. This position does have the opportunity to work remotely occasionally but does require a strong on-campus presence and may require occasional travel to all three FRCC campuses. Please note: You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment. Also, Front Range Community College is an E-Verify employer.

Requirements

  • A related associate degree (or relevant current industry license or certification) and 4000 verified occupational/industry hours within seven (7) years.
  • OR
  • A related Bachelor's or any Master's degree with 18 discipline related credits and 2000 verified occupational/industry hours within seven (7) years.
  • Related Degree, Credential, and/or Occupational Experience in:Architectural Engineering, Architecture (design, drafting), Engineering, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science (Engineering), Construction, Construction Management, Building Science, CAD, Interior Design, Mechanical Engineering, Landscape (Design, Architecture Construction), Multimedia Graphic Design, 3ds Max, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Inventor, Revit, Sketchup, Solidworks, 3d Printing, 3d Scanning or other drafting related software certification.

Benefits

  • Part-Time Instructors will have their hours measured on an annual basis to determine eligibility to enroll in medical health insurance only for the following benefit period.
