The Instructor and Field Director of Social Work position is housed within the School of Education & Human Sciences. The primary function of this faculty position is to teach courses in social work, administer the field education program, research the truth, and serve the community, all of which grow out of their presence in a community of Christian scholars. The position ensures that all tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the field experiences in Social Work are completed efficiently and in compliance with Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accreditation standards. The individual collaborates with BSW students, faculty, agencies, and community partners to provide instruction, guidance, and support for field education and social work curriculum. The instructor is expected to prepare for and meet the teaching responsibilities for every class. Normal teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester (fall and spring) including field seminar courses. Faculty members are also expected to be scholarly active and to engage in service activities in support of the institution and the profession.
