This full-time, non-tenure-track Instructor position includes teaching in developmental, first-year, and intermediate composition; contributing to curricula and assessment; and participating in departmental, college, and university service and governance. This position may include teaching face-to-face and/or online. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Rhetoric and Composition, Writing Studies, Technical Communication and/or Professional Writing, Creative Nonfiction, Public Administration, English, or other related discipline.
Nice To Haves
- Prior composition teaching experience with an emphasis on first-year students
- Experience teaching diverse populations of students
- Organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Professional writing experience
- Online or hybrid experience
Responsibilities
- Teaching in-person and online
- Work positively with faculty, staff, students, and the community
- Participate in department, university, and community service and governance including service on the department’s Composition Committee, as well as assessment and professional development
- Other duties as assigned
