The duties and responsibilities of this instructor in Agricultural Education, Communications and Technology include: lead classroom instruction, provide curriculum materials, construct syllabi, create and give exams, and provide other scholastic guidance, collaborating as part of a team by serving on appropriate departmental or college committees, utilizing excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and maintaining an understanding of current educational issues and initiatives. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Requirements

  • Masters degree in Agricultural and Extension Education, Agricultural Communications, Agricultural Leadership, or closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education conferred by the start of employment
  • Written and oral communications skills, including social media, graphic design, writing for press, and a variety of teaching delivery methods

Nice To Haves

  • Terminal degree in Agricultural and Extension Education, or closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least two years teaching experience in a higher education institution
  • Knowledge of academic study of agricultural communications and agricultural leadership
