This role offers a unique opportunity to shape high-impact cybersecurity learning programs for a federal environment. You will act as both a subject matter expert and an instructional designer, creating engaging training experiences across synchronous and asynchronous formats. Working closely with technical specialists, you will translate complex cybersecurity concepts into effective learning solutions using structured instructional design methodologies. The position supports both the creation of new courses and the modernization of existing content for online delivery. You will contribute to virtual learning environments, learning management systems, and cyber range–based skills training. This is a collaborative, mission-driven role with real-world impact on workforce readiness and security awareness.

  • Design, develop, and maintain cybersecurity training programs using established instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE.
  • Create a wide range of learning experiences, from short seminars to multi-day instructor-led and online courses.
  • Develop synchronous and asynchronous course materials, including content optimized for virtual learning environments and LMS platforms.
  • Support updates, maintenance, and continuous improvement of existing cybersecurity courses.
  • Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with emerging threats and technologies.
  • Assist with the conversion of traditional course materials into engaging online and cyber range–enabled training experiences.
  • Deliver live instruction when required and support instructor-led training events and meetings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Learning and Development, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in instructional design, cybersecurity training, or a closely related field.
  • Eligibility to obtain or maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Strong familiarity with the ADDIE instructional design process.
  • Experience with web-based authoring tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple courses at different stages of development while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a collaborative, customer-focused mindset.
  • Flexibility to work remotely with occasional on-site support for meetings or live training events.
