About The Position

As an Instructional System Designer (ISD) for the F35 ALIS and Mission Planning Environment training development team, your role is crucial. Your responsibilities include applying the ADDIE process to training requirements, creating and maintaining courseware and work instructions, participating in program and team meetings, and collaborating with team members, subject matter experts, engineers, and other product teams. Your contributions will directly impact our team's success and ensure that the courseware meets our customers' and stakeholders' needs. The chosen candidate will: - Participate in all aspects of the ADDIE process for various training projects and scenarios to develop effective courseware content that meets customer needs. - Adhere to approved style guides and the JSF ISD instructional design plan that documents policies and standards. - Possess excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills. - Be able to effectively communicate with engineers, graphic artists, and subject matter experts and understand technical data. - Create and maintain work instructions. - Be a proven self-starter who can effectively interact with military industry and academic partners. - Potentially participate in training needs analysis and gap analysis. - Develop training using the dominKnow Learning Content Management System (LCMS). - Be familiar with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. - Be familiar with F35 ALIS, MPE, or admin software applications. - Work onsite at Eglin AFB, FL. Requirements

  • At least five years of experience applying Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles and best practices to analyze, design, develop, and implement training products: -- Instructor Guides -- Student Guides -- Supplemental Teaching Materials -- Work Instructions and Job Aids
  • Applying adult learning theory, training principles, and techniques to courseware in a practical, hands-on manner
  • Experience developing technical solutions to complex problems that require regular use of critical thinking, ingenuity, and creativity
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience applying writing, editing, and proofreading skills to training products
  • Experience using the Adobe Creative Cloud to include Captivate, InDesign, and InCopy.
  • Experience using a Learning Content Management System (LCMS) as a courseware developer.
  • Experience using the Microsoft suite of tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office), Teams, Jira, Sharepoint, and Confluence
  • Experience with Multi-Media Design Architecture and eLearning standards, including Interactivity Levels 2 & 3, SCORM, and Web environments
  • Strong interpersonal and teaming skills

Nice To Haves

  • Your excellent writing and editing skills will be crucial in this role, as you will be responsible for creating and refining training materials.
  • A strong understanding of military training standards and experience in developing training for both domestic and international military personnel is a key requirement for this role.
  • Proficiency with F35 ALIS or mission planning software is a specific requirement for this role, as you will be using these tools extensively.
  • Experience creating work instructions
  • Experience developing Job Aids using Adobe Captivate
  • Experience using agile tools such as Confluence and JIRA
  • Experience using a Learning Content Management System such as dominKnow, 360, or similar programs
