About The Position
To work closely, under the supervision of the teacher, to ensure a maximum positive input on the instructional programs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must obtain Child Associates Degree within two years of employment.
Responsibilities
- Have a physical examination and T.B. skin test.
- Make instructional materials and aids.
- Assist lead teacher in all activities.
- Assist in conducting children to and from lunchroom and help with lunchroom supervision.
- Run errands and other miscellaneous chores.
- Record all attendance.
- Keep lunch records for classroom.
- Help plan and coordinate center activities.
- Help keep classroom safe and clean.
- Will have or work towards a Child Associates Degree after requirements are met.
- Shall participate annually in a minimum of 18 hours of professional development.
- Other duties as assigned by Head Start - Preschool Director or Superintendent.
