About The Position

The Instructional Facilitator position offers the opportunity to work with excellent district teachers, staff, and administrators to ensure high-quality learning experiences for all students; coordinate curriculum, assessment, and instructional practices; facilitate collaboration; and advance continuous improvement efforts aligned to the district’s goals. The facilitator is able to sustain involvement with long-term projects and assignments and remain flexible and positive with the demands and assignments of the job.

Requirements

  • Nebraska Teaching Certificate
  • Minimum 5 years successful teaching experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Nebraska Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement required
  • At least five years of successful teaching experience
  • Knowledge of the development, implementation, and evaluation of effective MTSS frameworks as a part of continuous improvement leading to improved student outcomes.
  • Ability to coordinate and provide professional learning and ongoing coaching support to adult learners
  • Effectively utilizing excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use technology as an instructional tool, for data analysis, research, and presentation

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Development experience preferred
  • Master’s Degree Preferred
  • Experience with Instructional Technology preferred
  • Experience working with differentiated student programming, including English Learners and Special Education, preferred.
  • Experience in Curriculum Development, Program Coordination, or Instructional Leadership Preferred
  • Experience in Developing and Leading PK-12 Professional Learning and Providing Coaching Support with Adult Learners Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists staff with the identification and implementation of research-based instructional interventions, instructional materials, and other appropriate supports for students through the MTSS to enable them to progress in the district curriculum and meet district and state standards.
  • Facilitate development, implementation, and monitor effectiveness of the district’s MTSS programming framework to meet the needs of all learners to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates with teachers, facilitators and administrators to provide coaching support and professional learning.
  • Assist teachers in the collection and analysis of data to improve student achievement and plan for instruction.
  • Provide teacher support for data-based instructional needs.
  • Develops, Supports and implements district guaranteed viable curriculum and instruction.
  • Guide or assist with professional development and research.
  • Serve on school/district committees
  • Assist teachers and administrators in evaluating strengths and weaknesses of instruction, programs, materials, and systems.
  • Assist in research and provide content knowledge and resources to PK-12 staff about student learning and instruction.
  • Assist in the research and prepare materials for use by the district
  • Assist in research and provide information and guidance regarding a range of effective and innovative practices through various activities such as: individual discussions (informal and formal), study groups, staff meetings, grade level meetings, and professional learning programs/sessions.
  • Maintain paperwork consistently, appropriately, and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with data analysis and implementing with district data protocol
  • Maintain the confidentiality of schools, teachers, and classrooms.
  • Attend professional development conferences.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
