About The Position

LifeSouth is seeking a talented and motivated Instructional Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning interventions that support our project work plans. This role requires a strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to design materials for various delivery methods. Hybrid remote work may be possible; we provide an office based in Gainesville, FL.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Psychology, English, Sociology or related field
• Proven experience in instructional design and development.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in using instructional design software and tools

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in related field preferred
• Two years of instructional design and development experience preferred
• Two years of teaching or training experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and develop learning interventions using multiple delivery methods, including instructor-led, virtual classroom, and blended instruction
• Incorporate best practices and real-world scenarios into instructional materials to effectively address performance issues
• Write concise, creative, and effective instructional content
• Ensure learning solutions are aligned with best practices in adult learning theory
• Propose, design, and develop innovative learning solutions tailored to project needs
• Prepare and submit course deliverables for review to the Instructional Design Manager, including design documents, storyboards, instructor materials, and participant materials
• Ensure final project deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements
