About The Position

Powdersville Middle School Instructional Coach for the 2026-2027 School Year Roles & Responsibilities:

Requirements

• A Masters in a related field
• At least 3 years of classroom teaching experience in either elementary, middle level, or secondary (middle level teaching experience preferred)

Responsibilities

• Organize and attend weekly collaborative team meetings to assist teachers with planning and pacing of lessons, the development of differentiated lessons, and ensuring common assessments are being used.
• Participate in Coaching Cycles by informally observing teachers (Classroom Mosaic) and providing feedback for a teacher’s professional growth and students’ success.
• Testing Coordinator
• iReady Coordinator
• Support the instructional development of all teachers in curriculum, assessments, and data analysis.
• Model lessons in classrooms
• Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, information, etc. to support classroom instruction and planning
• Provide direction and coordination for how the curriculum is taught consistent with District initiatives and recognized best instructional practices.
• Assist in afterschool tutoring program
• Student incentive program
• Run data reports for weekly systems: zero reports, iReady goals, etc.
• Build strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and other staff.
• Support teachers and administrators in using data to improve instruction on all levels.
• Fill in with duties where/when needed
