About The Position
2026 ESY SPSA Instructional Assistant HIGH SCHOOL Location: Wakefield HS July 6, 2026 through July 31, 2026 Professional Days and Orientation: July 1, 2 SPSA Secondary Program for Students with Autism
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent education
- 60 college credits from a regionally accredited college/university; or
- A qualifying score on the ParaPro (455 or better).
- Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds.
- One year working with students who have disabilities

Responsibilities
- Assist individuals or groups of students with classroom activities under the guidance and direction of a teacher.
- Assist with classroom and behavior management plans under teacher guidance and direction.
- Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, student services staff, and families.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by teacher, site-administrator, or coordinator
